Runway Beats That’ll Make You Strut

It’s been busy around here, to say the least! But after finally catching up on all of the Fashion Week shows, I was inspired to create a playlist based on the runway music from some of my favorite collections.

Over the years, designers like Alexander McQueen, Christopher Bailey and Raf Simonsused music in their shows to further the creative visions of their collections. They served as cinematic soundtracks for the worlds they designed.

For this week’s playlist, I looked to past and present runway shows for uptempo tracks with heavy baselines. You’ll find artists like Robyn, Goldfrapp and Martin Garrix on this list, as well as some old school favorites like George Michael and Cerrone.

“Let Me Tell U” by Jimmy Edgar

“Love Kills” by Robyn

“Blind” by Hercules & Love Affair

“Zero Hours – Qoso Remix” by BD1982, Qoso

“Supernature” by Cerrone

“XXXO” by M.I.A.

“Ooh La La – Benny Bennasi Remix – Extended” by Goldfrapp

“Freedom! ’90” by George Michael

“The Girl And The Robot” by Röyksopp

“All I Need” by Daniel Avery

“September” by St. Lucia

“Bad Romance – Starsmith Remix” by Lady Gaga

“Hard on the Boulevard” by Qoso

“Animals – Extended” by Martin Garrix

“This Is What You Came For – Extended Mix” by Calvin Harris, Rihanna
