Play it cool. Christmas can wait a minute.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Christmas music—I always have—but I believe there is a time and place for it.

As I said in my previous music post, I like to wait until after Thanksgiving dinner to start shuffling the holiday albums. But if you prefer to belt “All I Want For Christmas Is You” on your way to work every day of December, feel your fantasy.

I, however, need something a little more subdued.

Instead, I focused my December playlist on deeper, soulful tracks that aren’t full of tinny Jessica Simpson covers and department-store jingles.

Call me a Grinch all you want. I’m rather fond of him.
